Who we are

This website is run by Aaddinath Lakshya Education & Welfare Society ("the Society", "we"), H.No. 153/1, Block-A, Inder Enclave Phase-2, New Delhi – 110086. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Society is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.

What we collect

• When you donate: your name, email address, mobile number, an optional message, and whether you want your name kept private.
• When you submit payment proof: the UTR or UPI reference number, payment date, payment mode, amount paid, and an optional screenshot of the payment.
• Only if the Society asks for them on the donation form: your PAN and postal address.
• Basic technical data such as your IP address, used only to protect our forms from abuse.

Why we use it

• To record your donation, match it with the payment in our bank account, issue your receipt, and contact you about your donation.
• To keep the accounting records the Society is required to keep by law.
• To show your name (never your contact details) in a campaign's list of supporters, unless you choose to keep your name private.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Consent

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give on the donation form, and where the law requires us to keep records. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect donations already processed or records we must keep by law.

Who can see it

• Only the Society's authorised administrators. Payment screenshots are stored privately and can only be opened by administrators through short-lived links.
• Our website is hosted by service providers who store data on our behalf and must protect it. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Donation and receipt records are kept for as long as Indian law requires the Society to keep its accounts. Pledges that are never paid are deleted or anonymised after [X months]. Payment screenshots are deleted [X months] after the donation is verified.

Your rights

• Under the DPDP Act you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or complete it, ask us to erase it (unless we must keep it by law), nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance with us.
• If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Donations should be made by adults (18 years or older). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Security and breaches

We use encrypted connections, restricted admin access and private storage. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected people and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
