Save a Tiny Heart — Help a Baby Get Life-Saving Heart Surgery

We urgently appeal to your kindness to help save a precious life. Baby Suraj (registered as Baby of Vibha), an innocent 2-month-old infant, is battling critical congenital heart illnesses at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

The diagnosis

The medical examinations and Echocardiography reports have diagnosed the newborn with multiple severe heart abnormalities:

• d-TGA (Transposition of the Great Arteries): A critical condition where the main blood vessels of the heart are reversed.

• Large Mid-Muscular & Apical VSD (Ventricular Septal Defects): Multiple holes in the lower chambers of the heart.

• Large, Wide PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus): An unclosed arterial channel causing extra strain on the lungs.

Due to these complex defects, the infant's blood oxygen levels are running dangerously low at 76% (SpO2), and the child is showing an abnormally high heart rate of 130 bpm. The specialized medical board at AIIMS has cleared the child for critical open-heart surgery. The recommended immediate life-saving procedure is an Arterial Switch Operation (ASO) and VSD Closure.

The financial crisis & our goal

The baby's family comes from an underprivileged background in Uttar Pradesh. They are emotionally devastated and financially exhausted from the ongoing baseline clinical costs. They cannot afford the massive financial burden of specialized cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric ICU stays, expensive life-saving medicines, and supportive post-operative care.

The estimated cost for the entire treatment, including surgery and ICU recovery, is ₹5,00,000 (5 Lakhs). Our NGO has stepped forward to verify this case and support the family. We are raising funds to cover every bit of the infant's medical expenses to ensure treatment doesn't stop due to a lack of money.

हम एक नन्हीं जान को बचाने के लिए आपके दयालु दिलों से मदद की गुहार लगा रहे हैं। एम्स (AIIMS), नई दिल्ली में भर्ती केवल 2 महीने का एक छोटा सा बच्चा (विभा का बेटा) अपनी जिंदगी की सबसे बड़ी लड़ाई लड़ रहा है। यह बच्चा जन्मजात दिल की बेहद गंभीर बीमारियों से पीड़ित है, जिसे मेडिकल भाषा में TGA (ट्रांसपोजिशन ऑफ द ग्रेट आर्टरीज), बड़ा VSD (दिल में छेद) और बड़ा PDA कहा जाता है।

इन गंभीर विकृतियों के कारण बच्चे के शरीर में ऑक्सीजन का स्तर खतरनाक रूप से कम होकर 76% रह गया है। एम्स के डॉक्टरों की टीम ने बच्चे को पीडियाट्रिक विभाग से सर्जरी के लिए मंजूरी दे दी है और जल्द से जल्द आर्टेरियल स्विच ऑपरेशन (ASO) और VSD क्लोजर (ओपन हार्ट सर्जरी) की सिफारिश की है।

शिशु के माता-पिता आर्थिक रूप से पूरी तरह टूट चुके हैं और इस बड़े इलाज का खर्च उठाने में असमर्थ हैं। हमारी गैर-सरकारी संस्था (NGO) इस बच्चे के ऑपरेशन, पोस्ट-ऑपरेटिव आईसीयू (ICU) देखभाल, दवाओं और अस्पताल के खर्चों को पूरा करने के लिए फंड जुटा रही है।
