Refund policy

When and how a donation can be refunded.

Our approach

Donations are generally not refundable, because they are put to work quickly. We will, however, refund money in the situations below.

When we refund

  • You paid twice for the same donation by mistake.
  • You paid more than you intended because of an error (for example, an extra zero).
  • We could not verify your payment and you ask for the money back.
  • The payment was made without the account holder's permission.

How to ask

Write to us within [30] days of the payment, using the email address on our Contact page. Include the UTR or UPI reference number, the amount and the date of payment (and the donation ID shown on your donation page, if you have it).

What happens next

We check the payment against the Society's bank statement and reply within [7] working days. Approved refunds are sent back only to the bank account or UPI ID the payment came from, usually within [14] working days. If a receipt was issued for the refunded amount, it is cancelled.
